Mass murderer Charles Manson has been granted a license to marry Afton Elaine Burton from prison, and a wedding planner has been employed by California State Prison Corcoran to handle the nuptials.

While this, Manson’s third marriage, may be a source of amusement for some, gay-marriage patrons are expressing their outrage across social media platforms.

Burton who left her Midwestern home to be near him in Corcoran, California will have to marry within the prison walls but is allowed ten guests from outside the prison.

Burton has been a “prison groupie” for over nine years to Manson who celebrated a milestone birthday last week.

The license issued November 7 was viewed Monday by The Associated Press. It does not have a specific wedding date but indicates the couple has 90 days to get married or they will have to reapply.

Meanwhile documenting Burton’s devotion and love for her husband-to-be has also become popular.
