West Haven woman sentenced in child abuse death of Gavin Peterson
OGDEN — Nichole Lea Scott, the stepmother of Gavin Peterson, was sentenced Monday in the July 2024 child abuse death of the 12-year-old boy in West Haven. Scott, 51, who pleaded guilty to a litany of charges last month, was sentenced in Ogden's 2nd District Court by Judge Camille Neider. For her guilty plea to first-degree murder, Scott was sentenced to 15 years to life in the Utah State Prison.
