I am currently in custody at the Weber County Correctional Facility, charged with 2 counts of aggravated homicide.
Your reporter, Tim Gurrister, is usually present in the court room during my appearances. He is always eager to print anything that is said by me or about me. Anything that is, which portrays me in a negative manner. My attorney, Gary Barr is working to get my "so called confession" suppressed. My first appearance on this matter was on June 25th at which time a tiny fraction of the recorded confession was played. He of course printed the gory details and carelessly, the accusation of possible involvement by the Mexican Mafia . . . . Members of the Mexican Mafia were offended by this statement, and rightly so. What he neglected to print was the inconsistencies in the testimonies given by Roy City and Weber County law enforcement agencies. My cousin, Shawn O'Malley (Roy City P D) didn't remember which one of my family members initiated the call. Ryan Schultz, who has no proof about much of what he said, and could not even remember the names of the victims, believes his 9 nine year career with South Ogden PD and strike force, should be enough for him to be taken by his word. Sgt Hubbard (Roy City P D) was so impaired that he literally nodded off several times during his very slurred and confusing testimony. There is no way that Judge Di Caria and the prosecution didn't notice. The reason I'm certain, that his testimony was cut short. Because of the lengthy testimony of the first few, the session was continued until July 2nd, at which time Miranda Statler, who was subpoenaed by the defense, was to testify. This did not happen as when it was discovered that the prosecution had obtained the recorded conversations between Miranda and my mother, which despite all their coaching, catches Ms Statler in one of her many lies, Mr Barr immediately stopped the proceedings The session will continue on August 13th. Maybe sending an unbiased reporter to cover this session would serve your readers. After all are they not entitled to hear the truth? When I am found not guilty they may wonder why you chose to bend and omit the facts and to elaborate on the lies.
