RAMP board rejects money requested for field house

OGDEN -- The Weber County RAMP tax advisory board refused this morning to fund $2.4 million over five years to construct a multipurpose field house in downtown Ogden.

Board members indicated during a meeting they believe the application from Mayor Matthew Godfrey's administration for money to help finance the $40 million facility is incomplete. The board said the application did not meet several criteria including:

* A letter of intent from other donors and revenue sources.

* Confirmation of project approval from the city's Redevelopment Agency.

* Proof that the RDA has secured the property for the project.
