HUNTSVILLE — A head-on crash near Pineview Reservoir on Sunday killed one driver and seriously injured two other people, the Utah Highway Patrol said.
An eastbound Audi abruptly crossed the center line and collided with a westbound Dodge 3500 pickup, the UHP said in a news release. The crash occurred at 4:41 p.m. on State Road 39. The Audi came to rest facing south and the pickup rolled onto a dirt pullout strip next to the reservoir, ending up on its top.
The Audi’s driver was dead at the scene and a 9-year-old in the back seat, not buckled in properly, was taken to a local hospital in critical condition, the UHP said. An adult passenger in the front right seat was hospitalized in serious condition. The pickup’s driver suffered leg injuries.
