March 28, 1940 -- May 25, 2023

Lynn Renee Maddox passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on May 25, 2023. She was born to Renno William Peterson and Wilma Marie Kotter Peterson on March 28, 1940 in West Hollywood, California. She was later adopted by Irvin Maddox at the age of 10.

She graduated from Box Elder High School in 1958 and later attended Stevens-Henager College. She married the love of her life, Doyle Lynn Maddox on October 6, 1958, and they were later sealed in the Logan Temple March 2, 1970. They had 56 wonderful years together.

Lynn worked at the Maddox Ranch House for over 30 years. She also participated in The Daughters of Utah Pioneers, the Box Elder Symphonic Choir, her ward choir, and many Stake Roadshows.

Her membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints meant everything to her and she held many callings such as primary president, scout leader and stake and ward Relief Society leadership positions. One of her favorite callings was working in the Brigham City Temple in the office helping with records.

Lynn loved gardening, canning, walking, and hiking. Family history was also one of her many hobbies. As a mother and grandmother, she was very hands on and especially loved playing board games with her family.

She is survived by her children: Julie (David) Coleman, Troy (Brigitte) Maddox, Todd (Janna) Maddox, Angie Maddox, and Matt (Meredith) Maddox, 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her brother Steve, and her parents.
