Womens Fair



WOMEN'S FAIR
Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. at the Dee Events Center and a short orientation of the day will follow. Shuttle buses start running from the parking lot at the Dee Events Center at 8:45 a.m. Hourly classes will start at 10 a.m. and run through 5 p.m. All hourly classes will be held at one, convenient location, the Shepherd Union Building on the Weber State University campus. The new Shepherd Union Building offers beautiful, large classrooms, conference rooms and auditorium spaces. Each is fully equipped with all the latest audio and visual equipment. This year's fair will offer plenty of seating for all attendees.

GIFT BAGS
The first 1,800 attendees will receive a gift bag which will include the Taste of Home cookbook, valuable coupons and other items from national and local sponsors. Those who attend the Just For Her Women's Fair will also receive a booklet containing the handouts from all participating speakers/demonstrators.

FOOD
For lunch, there is a variety of food options available on-site at the Shepherd Union Building. For dinner, there will also be concessions open at the Dee Events Center. A variety of local restaurants are located within a short distance of Weber State University and the Dee Events Center venue that attendees can enjoy. Coupons for many of these restaurants will be included in the gift bags.

The Standard-Examiner is excited to present the third annual Just For Her Women's Fair. This all day event will be held Friday, September 11, 2009 at Weber State University and the Dee Events Center. The Just For Her Women's Fair will feature hourly classes and seminars, a women's health fair sponsored by Ogden Regional Medical Center, vendor booths, etc. The concluding event of the fair will be the Taste of Home Cooking School which will begin at 7 p.m. Seating for the cooking school is UNLIMITED.

TASTE OF HOME COOKING SCHOOL
The Taste of Home Cooking School will be held at the Dee Events Center and will feature Kristi Larson, a professional culinary specialist from Taste of Home Productions Inc. in Greendale, Wisconsin. Kristi will prepare a full plate of fun and facts, along with several recipes on stage. Doors for the Taste of Home Cooking School will open at 5 p.m., with the show starting at 7 p.m. Doors open for this event at 5 p.m.

VENDOR BOOTHS
There will be over 60 vendor booths open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the women's fair. The booths will be located throughout the beautiful, new Shepherd Union Building. There will also be booths open from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Taste of Home Cooking School at the Dee Event Center.

PARKING/TRANSPORTATION
Parking will be available at the Dee Events Center parking lot. There will be a fleet of Just For Her Women's Fair shuttles available to transport attendees to the day classes at the Shepherd Union Building at 8:45 a.m. At the end of the day conference, the shuttles will again be available at 4:40 p.m. to transport attendees back to the Dee Events Center for the Taste of Home Cooking School. For those needing to come and go throughout the day, a Just For Her Women's Fair Shuttle will make trips from the Dee Events Center to the Shepherd Union Building and there will be WSU shuttle buses available. The WSU shuttle buses make stops every 5 to 7 minutes on campus and at the Dee Events Center and can be utilized by attendees as needed throughout the day. There is also paid parking available on campus in the parking lot just southwest of the Shepherd Union Building. All shuttle services will be offered FREE OF CHARGE.
