OGDEN — Though the nearly 90 degree temperatures didn’t exactly scream yuletide spirit, Christmas arrived about 100 days early Monday in Ogden.

Film crews from the Hallmark Channel spent the day shooting a scene for an upcoming made-for-TV Christmas movie called 12 Days. The crews shot footage at The Sign Garage, 135 E. 25th Street, transforming the screen printing shop into a place called “Esther's Pet Shop,” for a scene in the movie.

The store, which also sells Ogden branded t-shirts, mugs, hats, hoodies, is owned by couple Nathan and Elizabeth Musgrave.

Elizabeth Musgrave said Hallmark officials approached her a few weeks ago about using the store for the movie.

“I was just working, and their locations guy was walking up and down 25th Street popping into local businesses,” she said. “He told us our (store) was perfect for the scene they had in mind.”

Elizabeth Musgrave said shooting for the film began at about 7 a.m. Monday and wrapped up by about 4 p.m. The crews finished the scene and are done filming at the location.

“It’s pretty exciting,” Elizabeth Musgrave said. “We’re going to be in a movie.”

The Musgraves said Hallmark executives have told them the title of the film could change, and it’s scheduled to air on Dec. 10.
