OGDEN --- A 22-year-old Provo man is accused of inappropriately touching a 6-year-old girl while visiting in Ogden this summer.

Michael Eugene Adams, who was arrested in Provo, was booked in the Weber County Jail on Friday. He is charged with one count of aggravated sexual abuse of a child, a first-degree felony; and one count of dealing in materials harmful to a minor, a third-degree felony.  He is held in lieu of $30,000 bail.

According to the warrant of arrest document filed in 2nd District Court on Aug. 5, the child’s family contacted Ogden police. The girl told officers that on June 7 when she was visiting a family member, Adams was also visiting. The girl told officers Adams took her into a bedroom and showed her pictures of “two people doing it,” according to the document.

Witnesses told officers they saw Adams take the girl to the bedroom “on numerous occasions,”  and had also seen him view pornography on a cellphone, according to the document. The witnesses told officers they “were not happy” with Adams being with the victim and “felt like nothing good come from it,” according to the document.
