As a retired law enforcement officer I was excited to see the local Fraternal Order of Police endorsing Turner C. Bitton for Ogden City Council District 3 in the 2013 municipal elections.
I have come to know Turner as a person and as an active Democratic Party leader and believe he offers a phenomenal opportunity for the citizens of Ogden to effect real change on that council. My conversations with him confirm that he understands the importance of reasonable civilian oversight of law enforcement and that public safety officers deserve the support and respect due them as important public servants and first responders.
I have no doubt that Turner will be a dedicated public servant committed to combating crime and neighborhood decline in our city.
It is because of these attributes he has been endorsed as the choice of law enforcement and should be the obvious choice of Ogden's citizens in these elections. I highly recommend voters elect Turner C. Bitton to the Ogden City Council on November 5th.
