FEMA awards Weber County nearly $140,000 for hazard mitigation
WEBER COUNTY — Weber County has a little more money to help strengthen its disaster response and mitigation abilities. Last week, FEMA announced in a press release that Weber County would receive nearly $140,000 in funds to help reduce the impact of potential disasters. "FEMA is awarding $139,899 in Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities (BRIC) funding for eligible pre-disaster and hazard mitigation activities to promote resilience and reduce future disaster costs," the release said.
