Regarding: the author of the StandardNET letter "Fox News fuels paranoia":
Here is to the decline of our ability to see reason.
Here is to the decline of our ability to speak to one another with respect and honesty.
Here is to the decline of the fellowship of our great country.
Is this paranoia due to my consumption of Fox News? No.
It is the reality of the hate, mistrust, and propaganda that the author spouted in his letter.
History can teach us many lessons about the demise of civilizations due to irrational and hateful fear-mongering. It would do us all well to remember them.
We all have different beliefs. If left alone our Constitution supports all of us to live the life we choose, believe what we choose and pursue our individual dreams while respecting the rights of others.
Any time any administration seeks to change, alter or otherwise bastardize our great constitution anyone in this country has a right to questions it as it is the most valued right we are given as Americans.
I am not a Democrat, liberal or a Republican. So I choose not slander a whole group by the actions of a few, or many. As I believe that is why we now have to live with so many anti-discrimination laws, right?
Choose your words carefully for your words are thoughts, your thoughts become actions and as a whole make you who you are.
Is the writer the narrow-minded, hateful, egotistical and uneducated person he appears to be from your letter?
