SYRACUSE -- Mayor Jamie Nagle has been appointed as the city's representative to the Wasatch Integrated Waste Management District Administrative Control Board.
She replaces Alan Clark, a councilman whose term expired Jan. 2. Clark was defeated in a re-election bid in November.
The waste position comes with a stipend of $2,000 a year, and Nagle said she will donate the revenue to a scholarship fund at the city's recreation center.
The board is made up of representatives from Morgan County, the Davis County Commission and a representative of every municipality in Davis County except Bountiful, which has its own landfill.
