Colorado man dies in Interstate 15 rollover

PLEASANT VIEW -- A 22-year-old Colorado man was killed while driving south on Interstate 15 at milemarker 350 early Thursday morning.

Utah State Police don't know what caused the vehicle driven by Michael Scott Hess of Castle Rock to drift into the median, then overcorrect and lose control.

A UHP news release said the vehicle rolled several times and skidded through the median, eventually sliding out into northbound traffic where it came to a stop on its roof. The release said Hess was wearing his seatbelt but was found in his vehicle at about 12:23 a.m. He later died of his injuries.

Does anyone know about funeral arrangements?

Thank you for the caring comments. I was at the hospital and the scene was most touching and so sad as his bride of one month and his sister sat and held Mike's hands as the last few minutes of his life slipped away, unable to do anything for him except to give to him their unexpressible love.

Hey Jekka,

Have some compassion, do you know the whole story????? Someone died! Mike left a new bride, a promising career, family and friends. This was a tragedy of epic proportions. Try walking in someone else’s shoes for a while. Hope you never need some understanding and compassion.

He was only married a month. So instead of thinking about how you were stopped in traffic - think about his family.

Jeka:

Glad you missed being involved in the crash. You might try the Legacy Pkway as an alternative route. Traffic moves slower and no trucks. No absolute protection from someone else's bad driving, but you might as well get all the edge you can going your way.

I barely missed this happening. I was stopped on the freeway for over an hour for them to allow traffic to move.
