(UNEDITED)I very seldom pick up the paper, except the sports, and read it. Sunday Sept. 5th, I did. First I read the Trece gang story, then, Mayor Godfreys wish list. While the Mayors wish list is all good, I see it as misguided. AND, while the pending injunction against the Trece gang is all good, I dont see it putting a curb on their activities. Does anyone really believe that those THUGS are going to KOW-TOW to an 11:00 pm curfew? I sure dont!The way I see it (and this is just me) is that they will continue on with their THUGGERY as usual, maybe even step it up a notch or two! The gang bangers KNOW there arent enough Officers on the streets to keep them all in check! I see all out war coming! The Mayor needs to INVEST at least half of his wish list fund to hire, and train new Gang Task Force Officers, until the gang problem has been CRUSHED for good, or at least becomes more easily managed, there is no point in filling the Mayors wish list! The Mayor needs to get his head out of LA LA LAND, and back into REALITY! And the reality is, is that these gang bangers need to be SHUT DOWN! once and for all, and for good!
